The Daydreamer
Her heart skipped a beat
as the trolly man drove past the totems,
giver her a feeling of comfort
in a city that has caused so much
discomfort.
Turning her eyes to the harbour,
the Native voice insider her,
encouraged her to look deeper
and see that the sky hadn't changed.
It still had an unattainable beauty
and freedom that grounded her
overwhelming emotions.
It was just as they said it was,
unchanged and unworn,
full of lessons and stories as it's
been for an eternity.
This is good...
